Just got a Cherry Burst RS-4 today. The guy I got if from bought it NOS and he told me that it had Lollars in it. Did the 2010 models have them then and where can I find all the specs on a RS-4 from 2010. The guitar is brand new with zero play time. I traded a bang stick that I had about $750 invested. I feel like I got a good deal. Will post pick as soon as I can.
Thanks,
Glen
I'd say you got a deal, as long as it wasn't the only peatooter you own. Their value is not always measured in $.
They are probably lollars

If you decide you don't like it, I'll trade my original 1972 Yamaha FG200 for it. :roll
You should check with Larrivee (e-mail them, and give them the guitar's serial number). My RS-4 is from around that time and it has the Larrivee Gen III pickups in it...
Either way, you got an incredible deal on the guitar... it will amaze you more every time you hold and play it!
Take a PUP out and if says Lollar then
A 2010 would be surprised if it had Lollars as Matt making his own by then
Either way are stellar!!
The guitar was just restrung and I didn't want to take the pup out until the next strings. Does sound like it would have Larrivee Gen II pups but wasn't sure. Thanks, for the post.

Being an early adopter, I got mine as soon as they came out whatever year that was. 2008? It has Lollars and they are excellent pick ups. Like Andrew says, you can't really go wrong regardless. Sounds like you got a great deal on a fine guitar. Another effect of not waiting was I paid an awful lot more for mine. :crying:

If I had of got one of mine for $750 I would have felt like I won a lotto. You will never find a better electric guitar for that kind of $ as long as you live!!!

:+1: ...and I'm not gonna cry about the price I paid. So much better than ANY Les Paul I've tried!

:+1: :+1: Agreed! What a steal. It's criminal!
And I suspect this is why Larrivee suspended production. Even with the dot inlays and a lower price, because it's not an LP clone, they didn't sell.
The guitar world is the poorer for it. But you have just become the richer for it, my friend! :cheers
