These are first four people that worked with Jean in the early seventies on his Toronto shop.
Each one a very fine builder and worth reading about or even owning a guitar by them.

You forgot Jean Jr., Matthew and Wendy........ :humour:
It's also very interesting that more than one of those apprentices, even though they have gone their own direction in so many aspects of guitar building, still employ body shapes strikingly similar to the L that JCL pioneered.
Let's not leave Sergei de Jonge out of the list:

Like JCL, his family are also involved in the craft.
Jean has a rich legacy and has prepared for future generations. What a privilege to live while he still shares his art and skill.
Very nice. I'd say jean taught them well.
Lets also not forget about David Iannone at Morgan guitars as well as John McQuarrie at Northwood guitars! Both make excellent instruments.

Pretty impressive resume builder to say you were taught by him...

here's a pic from the old days
What a cool picture. Wouldn't it be cool to see a picture of them all together today.
David Wren is clean shaven, as is Tony, Jean as we know isn't, and Linda..... well.
The others I don't know.
Looks a bit like Duck Dynasty North, doesn't it? :laughin:
