Hi folks,
Recently I was wondering what is meant by "parabolic bracing." When I've been inside my larrivees I've noticed that there is a rounded contour on the braces around the sound hole. Is this it?
I've noticed that my p1 doesn't have this, the braces are very rectangular and tapered down toward the edges of the sound board. Also, no thinner bracing on the sound board, at least not near the sound hole.

It's just a marketing term that means they have some sort of arc or taper to them. This usually applies to the lengthwise section. None of the braces are in the shape of parabolas and it wouldn't matter if they were.
Traditionally it usually means a brace is shaped so the profile is an arc or parabolic. Larrivee doesn't do this. The curve from lower to upper bout of the x brace is an arc too. That's what Larrivee means by the loose term. As well though, some Larrivees have part of the x carved in a bit, so that section I guess could be called parabolic, more or less, as
opposed to the usual squared top/profile they have.
