Hello all,
I've got some acoustic pickup troubles. For a few years my main acoustic was an L-03 Walnut with a Baggs M1 passive. It was not very loud for live performances but man did it sound good. I sold the L-03 and started playing a 64 Gibson F25. I played it out last night with the M1 and sounded terrible. Acoustically the guitar sounds fantastic but not so great with the pickup. I'd take suggestions on improving this pickups sound or a substitute. Thanks much.

K&M Pure Mini is great.
Are you running through an active DI at all? The baggs Para DI get a lot of recommendations. I use an inexpensive Behringer ADI21 with my M1 passive, it is an active DI with bass, treble, and sweepable mid controls and a microphone/tube emulation blend (which I use very little of).

I'm surprised to hear that your guitar was not loud enough with the M1. As mentioned above, a pre-amp is needed. I run an M1 passive directly into a 50-watt Ultrasound amp and it is hugely loud. There is a preamp in the Ultrasound. If I am playing directly into a PA system I go first into a Baggs Para DI. I don't know enough about your whole set up (or about amplification in general), but I suspect there is a simple fix for making your Gibson sound better with the M1.
