Title: Moody Blues With A Twist
Post by: Fredmando on December 30, 2004, 02:17:51 PM
As a mandolin wannabe player, I have to admit to owning bluegrass tributes to The Who and Lynard Skynard. But, when I heard that there was a group of Nashville artists messing around with the Moody Blues I almost screamed. Well, it ain't that bad. In fact,it's pretty good.
Here is the link to NPR's program profiling the new CD and some sound cuts. See what you think.

Hey Fred,
If you like that, then you'll probably like the Austin Lounge Lizards cover of Pink Floyd's Brain Damage (from Darkside of the Moon).
Check it out here (http://www.austinlizards.com/music.html) - from the list of mp3's on the left side of the page.  B)

Also, as a contrast (covers of bluegrass) Bela Fleck et. al do an interesting hip-hop cover of the Beverly Hillbillies Theme on disc 1 of their "Little Worlds" CD set!
