Hi there!
I bought this guitar for about two years ago. It has bolt on neck, tele body maple red,Bartolini pickups(1humbucker 2 singlecoils) and Floyd Rose with the Larriveé logo. I can´t find any information about this guitar exept that it must be a LT-4. L stands for bolt on neck, T for tele and 4 the pickup setting. Can someone please give me some information about this guitar?
You pretty much nailed the description on how it is named. The guitar IMO is one of the most underrated vintage guitars in todays market. Hey they were good enough for Bryan ADAM's band back in the day seen here (http://twitter.com/#!/LarriveeLtd/status/147023019976560643/photo/1)
What is your serial # - and we will be able to give you an approx year of build in the 80's very early 90's.
I have 6 or 7 vintage Larrivee's which are simply marvelous guitars THO I must say not in the elite league of today's Larrivee Electrics
Here is a couple of mine
Once you have 10 posts you can post some pics of yours. Please give the Forum Rules a quick read only takes 2 or 3 minutes and you will learn litlle things like this and basically who we are around here.

The serial #'s are generally located in 1 of three places.
1.) It may be stamped onto or into the back of the headstock at the tip.
2.) It may be stamped onto or into the back of the headstock around the middle.
3.) It may be stamped into the fret board towards the bottom.
I suspect yours is the latter as is an unusual place.
Ser # 6338

Hello again! I have now checked my guitar for a serial number and i can not find any, and I have checked everywhere. The only number I can find is on the body where the neck is bolted and it says T-6. What is this :? Is this guitar some kind of a mix between two guitars? Maybe the body has been exchanged? Hope you or someone have the answer to this, many thanks. Keep on rocking :nana_guitar
Pima there were some Larrivees of that era that have been known to go out the door sans serial # extremely rare indeed ( unfortunately the rarity adds nothing to it's value). I have heard of only a couple this could be another.
Get your post count to 10 and then you can post pictures. this will assist us greatly. Tell us what neck wood it is in one post, how many strings it has in another etc etc . At 10 posts you can post a few pics.
Thank you, I will do that
I think the neck is maple and the fingerboard may be ebony
The shape of the head is a little bit different compared to the ones you showed pictures of
A friend of mine had the same model as your blue. Exept that his was yellow with EMG pickups
At least two guitarists from my country Sweden have played on Larrivee(that I know of).
Kee Marcello played in the band Europe
Janne Schaffer played with ABBA
A friend of mine have a better camera than I have so I will let him take a foto of my guitar :thumb
I will do this tomorrow and try to post some pictures then
Hello again I´ve got some pictures . This is my guitar

Nice Pics. Can you show one with the back of headstock and also one with back of body where bolt on?
Very :nice guitar: Friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My guess so far is this guitar is from between 1987 and 1990.
I am leaning to this span because of the PUPS, maple cap and the banana headstock. I don't think there were many carve tops with a bolt on which makes yours a tad more unusual, tho unusual was the norm of the day during that period, the only thing really consistent was the quality of the wood, hardware and workmanship ( which was said by some in the know to be improving as their experience with electrics evolved - this I question as I have some early mid 1980's models; and the workmanship was superb).
Hope some others chime in like Cybercanyon who is quite familiar with the 1980's electric history.
That darn serial # has gotta be on there somewhere
Beautiful guitar, I wouldn't mind having it.
I am guessing it is LT-04 manufactured in 1989 based on the headstock, maple cap and pups configuration. The RS's are the most common followed by the LS's and LT's. The RT's are the least common.
The serial numbers are usually located where JOYCEfromNS indicated. I have found an LT with the serial number hidden between the body and neck. I have one Larrivee without any serial number.
Does it have a made in Canada maple leaf sticker behind the headstock?
Once again, beautiful guitar.
