Newbie here,
Although I now reside in Jackson, Mississippi, below are the local donut-equivalents where I've spent most of my career. Any guesses?
This appears to be a great forum. Looking for a parlor and hear the Larrivee is one of the best.

Larrivee practically owns the parlor market, b/c they are that good!
(Denmark?) :wave :coffee
Welcome to the forum! Those "donuts" have got to be from the Big Easy.

Fritters, perhaps?
I'm new here, myself, but I suspect that any batter that's fried and then sugar coated will meet the need.

cke,
The 00's don't seem bad either...decisions, decisions (yeah, I know...buy both)
Let us know how the search for the parlor goes. I don't own one myself, but the folks around here love them. (by the way, I'm just up the road from you in Memphis). Be sure to post some pix when you find your larrivee! And thanks for the beignets.
