Just curious about what other stuff you all have... :beer

Good idea! I love to look at guitars. Where does one start, though? How 'bout here.

This is my old beat up 1947 Gibson ES-300 that I got when I was like 15 or so. I basically played it as my sole guitar for over 20 years till it dawned on me to get something smaller. It's got a nice wide and thick neck which helped me evolve to the fingerplaying I do now but it's got no tone since the wood is 1/4" plywood  :winkin: I don't play it much except I was recently inspired by Denis's "Samuel" to retune it and try figuring it out. It's too cool to me to keep it hidden away in the case so I leave it out on display in the TV room.

The mighty Guild...  Ok maybe not so mighty, but it's a 12-string, and it's Pre-Fender.

My Tacoma Roadking.  I really like this guitar, great strummer, but also sounds outstanding tuned to DADGAD or DADGBD. Also Pre-Fender.

My first Steel string. Alvarez F-hole.  (Alvarez has never been owned or destroyed by the Fender Instruments Co.)

My "Hi my name is Mark and I own a Chinese plywood Guitar" guitar.  It's a Tacoma copy that Fender had made by the Chinese while they were busy destroying the Tacoma brand.  I bought it because it was very affordable ($200) and had on-board electronics, which makes it a great gigging or flying guitar.  In other words, if United breaks this Guitar I won't cry about it.  I'm always super nervous flying with my Larrivees.

That's an '82  (83??).  And yes...the Dotneck moniker came along when the interwebs guitar forums were just getting going and the ES-335 was my #1.....

Now I'm more of a flat-top on the couch kind of guy...can't remember the last time I plugged in to my '64 Princeton Reverb...

The two sisters
(a NRP Model 97 Tricone and a NRP M1 Wooden Tricone)

The ladder braced three
(a 1930's ToneKing made by Stella ladderbraced 12 fret, in the middle an undetermined water damaged ladder with a trout etched on the back of the upper bout and water damage all over the lower bout, a late 1930's Kalamazoo 12-fret KHG-14 ladder braced converted to a flat top all three are probably the last of their kind, sound great and all have relatively flat tops)

Missing
1940's Gretsch New Yorker
Taylor 355

Did even think about the electrics.

the arch top is a 1950 Kiso Suzuki
the other is a TLAC-100 from the early `90s...silver lace sensor neck with piezos in the bridge.

Correctamundo, unclrob; 6120AM (amber). I had a 6122JR (made in USA) which I sold to get this full sized MIJ about 5 years ago. Maybe not a wise decision, but I think this is gorgeous and I got it new at a steal so I couldn't resist. I've hardly played it at all in the years I've owned it. I've been thinking about starting to play it recently as my archtops (Eastmans) are definitely getting more play these days. We'll see...
Those White Falcons are pretty cool!  :nice guitar:

hi rob,
Up until now I have always used my friends midi gear.  He has a GR-20 and also a VG88.  It's a lot of fun.  I compare it to when I was introduced to alternate tunings.  It just opens up another world of possibilities.  When I sat down last night to really explore the GR-20 hours had passed before I realized it.  I picked these up as a set on craigslist and get a great deal.  Very happy with the purchase.  Not sure how different the GR 33 is but I'm sure its great as well.  :thumb

BTW Queequeg that Gretsch is stunning! :thumb :thumb

The GR33 has the expression peddle and a bunch more programs.I use the different string settings as background to my acoustic recordings.Live I use the organ and piano programs under the electric guitar, its so cool to see people looking at the stage looking for the keyboard player thats not there.

Queequeg I use my Falcon for the few jazz standard gigs that come my way.I play with a guy does way too much James Taylor and its the perfect guitar for backing him up.

This is my 1981 Augustino (LoPrinzi) CM20, spruce over mahogany.
Bought it new in 1981. It was originally stained very dark, and
looked like a mahogany top. In about 1986, it was exposed to mosquito repellent and put back in the case.
The crushed velvet lining stuck to the finish. It got punched in the back by a drunk, and the repair is just
wood glue with a block on the inside.
When a friend helped me refinish it some years later, I let him take it for a while because he came to really like it.
It came back to me this year.
The refinish has a little stain to it, but you can see why the blurry grain may have caused Augie to
originally stain it dark. The pick guard was an add on by my friend.
It's a cannon. So glad to have it back.

Here's the collection (for now).

I’ve bought and sold a few guitars over the years, but have now reached a point where I don’t wanna give up anything in the collection, so maybe now it’ll be stable for awhile (sh’yeah).  Some of them have been named, some of them haven’t, yet.

Top Row L to R:
VG Stratocaster "Blue Light Special" – modified w/Hot Noiseless (Jeff Beck) pickups and locking tuners
USA Deluxe Strat SE "Goldie" – factory w/gold hardware, locking tuners, ebony board
USA Deluxe Strat "The Green Genie (Gigi)" – heavily customized; see www.turnstyleswitch.com for specs
Gibson Les Paul Elegant – factory except for new Speed knobs and inlaid ebony TRC
Soulmate Model 4 – modified w/ Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz pickup set and bloodwood pickup rings, knobs and switch tip to match neck binding. Go to www.soulmateguitars.com/04_Spalt_Top.htm for original specs

Middle Row L to R
Larrivee PV-09E “the Unpossible” – factory
Gibson ES-335 “Valerie” – modified w/Setmour Duncan Seth Lover pickup set, RMC piezo bridge and 8 conductor breakout cable connector
Gibson ES-137 “Jesse” – modified, replaced Varitone with Turnstyle circuit (www.turnstyleswitch.com) replaced black speed knobs with pearl topped flying saucers.
Martin CF-1 – factory

Bottom Row
Washburn – 35 year old, Japanese made dreadnaught. Tag long gone, don’t know the model. My first “real” guitar.
Larrivee LV-09E “LV” – factory (as far as I know)
Ovation 6756LX “12” – factory
Ovation 2006-FKOA “06” – the 2006 Collectors model with flamed koa top and flamed maple epaulet
Ovation 2007-BCS “07” – the 2007 Collectors model with bear claw spruce top and spalted maple epaulet

Here's my daily driver: G&L Invader XL Standard with coil taps.....at least until an RS-4 in Tobaccoburst becomes available at which time the G&L may have to go to make room for the new arrival. My RS-4 GoldTop is pampered and reserved for special occasions, weekends and holidays and will not be parted with.    RS-4

My playing buddy who is building me a Parlor gave one of his builds to play to see if I liked the size.  I have been loving it.  It's an all Hog size 1, 12 fret, 1 11/16 nut.  This thing has plenty of volume and way more low end than you would expect.
