Would someone be so kind as to please post a picture of the case that you get with the
Larrivee RS-4! I can't find a picture anywhere! :?
According to what Larrivee told Jerry Welch on my Rootbeer RS-4 I should be looking at about
7-10 days left on my RS-4 being completed! Matt had sent me some pics of the "body" about
2 weeks ago and said he had taken some with the Rootbeer finish added to it and was going
to send those to me but I haven't seen those yet!
The 7-10 days left is based on Larrivee giving Jerry Welch a buildtime of 4 weeks on the run of
RS-4's they were doing in Charcoal,Amber and Rootbeer!
I will most definitely post "PICS" as soon as I get my RS-4 here at the forum! Soundclips will
also be made ASAP! :nana_guitar
Cheers!
Mac
Sorry, don't have any pics of the case handy...but it is QUALITY, just like the RS-4, and it fits the guitar like a glove - it was definitely made especially for this instrument. It has the blue crush interior like the acoustic cases...and it even smells good (or maybe that's the guitar's finish rubbing off on the case?). Has the Larrivee logo on the outside, also like the acoustics.
Congrats - enjoy the guitar when it arrives; I'm still in the honeymoon stage with mine after two months plus.
:nice guitar: ...and case!
It is nearly identical to a Les Paul case, except it is black instead of tan.
Can't really say anything that The Rev & Walkerman already have not. Tho I do like the handles on the Gibson Les Paul & SG cases better BUT otherwise very very similar cases. Very sturdy and fits like a glove

Gibson SG Case included for some reference. Hope this helps

A couple more

You forgot to include a pic with the guitar in the case!!!
Thanks everyone for the pics and replies! I like the Blue Velvet lining on the Larrivee cases
better than the "white Velvet Lining" on the LP case that came with my 2007 LP Standard
and I wasn't crazy about the big thick Leather handle on the LP Case. I guess we all
have our likes and dislikes that vary on guitars as well as cases!
JOYCEfromNS where is the RS-4 that goes in your case? :rolleye:

Mac
Mac just mainly use the cases for transport - like to have THEM spread out for ease of access :whistling:
Just a little taste to ease your GAS pain while you wait. Likely obvious what I think of the RS 4. I certainly crunch up my forehead when I hear of someone buying a new electric and they don't even take the Rolls Royce for a spin!!!!
BTW in the background I just obtained for FREE a perfectly working Hammond from someone who just purchased a church and was converting it to a studio. Man!!!! A Hammond for free we got to be in the last days!!!!

Nice shot of your tribe there!
I can't help but post a couple more pics, since we're talking Rootbeer burst finish here...
(And these pics simply CANNOT do it justice!)
Alright JOYCEfromNS you are just going to send me and everyone into "Permanent G.A.S." with your
pics of "3 RS-4's" :crying:!My goodness you are a "LUCKY DOG" for sure! Thanks for the pics of your
old "GEETARS" their for all us "POFOLKS"!Ha! :humour:
A big thanks to MikeyMac for sending us all some pics of his "KILLER RS-4 in ROOTBEER BURST"! Matt
sent me a couple of pics of "MY RS-4" today and one has the Rootbeer Stain and Poly applied in it and
the others are where they are spraying the "ROOTBEER STAIN" to the raw body first in stages!
I gotta say if "LOOKS COULD KILL" I probably wouldn't be sitting here at my computer posting this
message to the LARRIVEE FORUM! Man it is ---------- just "STUNNING"! :nanadance
I will try to get these pics posted here in the forum!
Will someone give me some short instructions on how to post pics from my pictures
on my computer! I do have an account at Picasa online that I could post from if necessary!
I don't see a drop down menu to "ADD PICS" in the menu above!
Matt said this run is shaping up to be completed in the 4 week build time that was quoted to Jerry
at (Jerry's Lefty Guitars) when Jerry put my order in! YEAH!YEAH! :nanadance
Is anybody else here at the forum going to be the "LUCKY RECIPIENT" of one of these RS-4's
in this run that is being built as we speak?
JOYCEfromNS I noticed that all 3 of your RS-4's are "BACKWARDS" or did you ORDER them like that! :bgrin:
Cheers,
Mac

What model of Hammond is it? Looks like the M-100 made famous by Whiter Shade of Pale. I have one too! And a Wurlitzer, as well. The Hammond weighs a ton. I think they're all free to anyone who'll carry the buggers! :laughin:
I want some of that Rootbeer.
Alrighty here we go!! :nana_guitar :nanadance

It's an M-2 I also have an Everett. Gotta luv the Hammond sound - Green Onions, Whiter Shade of Pale & Deep Purple sounds etc. Still mystified that people give these away!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Fellow RS-4 Owners! Whadda Ya Think??? :nice guitar:
I am going to say this is the "PRETTIEST COLOR AND TOP" that I have seen or owned
in my "GUITAR ARSENAL" by a landslide!! :beer
A big "HATS OFF" to Matt,Jean and the rest of the Larrivee Crew!
Mac
They are nice looking guitars.
C H O I C E !!
Anyone know who the Larrivee Finisher is doing the painting :?
JOYCEfromNS,
I don't know but It sure looks like he's painted a few guitars to me! :nice guitar:
Thought everyone might want to see what a Matt Larrivee Custom wound Humbucker
looks like just for the record!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Didn't I tell you that you were getting a killer piece of flamed maple.....dam&...straight, horizontal flames all the way to the edge. Trust me...walkerman knows wood.....
Root Beer... love the finish, hate the drink.
WOW!!! What can I say? It's beautiful. I want it! I'm saving my $$$ in hopes of adding a "RootBeer" later this year to keep my "GoldTop" company. My "GoldTop" has the Lollar pups and I'd like to add an RS4 with the Larrivee pups. (At least that's what I tell my wife .... :roll)
Gold ya gotta consider a P90 also :roll

OKAY! ... One of those too! :roll
walkerman,
I gotta give you props on telling me that the "Maple Top" on my RS-4 body was a
"Killer Flamed Piece" when you saw the "Raw Body and Top" when they were
cutting it out! But I had no idea that it was going to be such a "STUNNING PIECE"
of wood especially after the Rootbeer Stain and Poly was added to it! :donut :coffee
for Walkerman cause he dang sure knows his "WOODS"!! :thumb
Man I am going to load up on "GAS-X" with all this "G.A.S." that I am going to be
suffering from for a couple of weeks till I get that "Purty RS-4"!
Mac
Oh man.....you're gonna love it. My next RS-4,(if I can swing it),will be a P90 Goldtop.
...and did you all notice that looooong neck channel in those pics, for the extra long neck tenon on these!?
P.S. My next one will be P-90's on a Tobacco Sunburst...very traditional looking. (Right after I finish paying for my Forum IV!)
I found a nice photo from their facebook page showing some nice RS4's
[attachment deleted by admin]
Nice pic!
Check it out - several with P-90's, and the two at left in front look like they have open coil humbucker pickups - what's up with THAT?!?!? :arrow
More sleuthing to do...
Nice Pic those two on the left are they all Mahog :? :? :?
Talk about eye-candy .....
Also just noticed - the two in front on the left have DOTS on the fingerboard - NOT abalone blocks with triangle inlays...
...so possibly all hog with open coil pups also makes sense - a "budget" RS-4 - but where are these? HOW MUCH are they? Was this a test run for a dealer? Anyone seen these online somewhere?
Any dealers want to chime in and tell us about these two mystery guitars?

( Finally exhaling) I saw these new ones at my factory tour. I know nothing about the pricing, but indeed, lower cost solid hog electrics
Take note of the tuners.

A positive move for Larrivee Electric side of business. Hope they consider some other styles as well as they were spot on with the RS4 that's for sure!!!

Hmmm...so now I'm thinking - I'd like an all hog one with P-90's and dot markers, dark red finish and no body binding...it would not only be a Gibson Killer; it would also measure up as a Collings Killer!!!
:nice guitar:

Take note of the tuners.
The tuners? What are you talking about? That pic is so small, I don't see anything different about the tuners...
EDITED TO ADD: Okay, when I click on the pic, it clears up a little - they look like Klusons...

A no-nonsense killer that's for sure. Internals the same eg. pots etc Anybody have any info on these at all :?
When you click on the link below the photo it will take you to another pic that you can magnify. :thumbsup

Gotcha.
With the hog top and unbound body, it's almost more "normal" or "natural" looking than the upscale flamed top ones with binding...definitely would like to see one of these made with P-90 pups - either black (on the wine body) or creme (on the brown body) covers! Larrivee is on to something with these! And yes, love the Kluson tuners - as long as they work!
