Gday Amet,

Thats a pretty open question mate, and you'll probably get lots of different answers. The question is, what sounds better to you? I'll assume your asking about Larrivees. Some guys like Rosewood back and sides with a spruce top (-03R, -60 or -09) some prefer Mahogany with a spruce top (-03, -05 -50) others like all Mahogany or Hog tops (MT). You really need to go out and play them for yourself. One wood combination will speak to you and sound "right" to you.

As for the price range, Im not sure what you mean by medium, but you really cant go past an -03 series Larrivee for great tone, playability and value for money. Check out the OM-03, OM-03R or if you prefer a larger body check out the L-03 or L-03R.

Good luck!

Cheers, Scott.

Amet, no worries mate, hopefully I helped. Now go out there and play as many guitars as you can. Build up that little library of tones in your head and make an educated decision. If you like bright and balanced that sounds like the way I would describe the tone of a Larrivee OM-03. But dont take my word for it, go play one.  :thumbsup

Cheers, Scott.

The balance is most often attributed to the body shape, style of bracing, etc. The tone is where the wood comes in. I've got two Rosewoods and a Sapele and they're all good fingerstylers. You need to play as many as you can and decide which you like the best.
