Title: Huss & Dalton Dm
Post by: jimmyd on October 01, 2004, 08:09:03 PM
I pulled the plug today and bought a H&D DM. I had every intention of buying a Rosewood dread but this Mahogany unit just had the magic for me. I was suprised at how responsive it is to a gentle touch and it just can not be overdriven when I dig in. Great string seperation and even sounding across all strings and registers. Intonation is perfect. I'd describe it a very clean and sweet sounding. It plays easier with mediums than any other guitar I've tried with lights. The only problem is that it sounds every note so clearly that my sloppy technique is more apparent to me. My wife says I sound better on it but she is biased. She also knows what I paid for it.
The dealer gave me a great trade on my Larrivee OM-03,(good-bye little buddy :( ). I think I have a great compliment to my L03 BW. Gotta keep the blackie so I can stay in the club here.

I got to play a DM and  TD-M on a business trip over the summer...and they just blew me away!  Maybe after I finish this cross country move I can think about getting one...
