Title: "Holy Water" on OM-03R (e)
Post by: ukeforever on October 29, 2008, 06:25:04 AM
Here: Holy Water Vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHAKQcNxOHY)

I never use the (e) part of the OM-03R (e). Love the sound of it raw.

Did you write that? Good job. Got some chords I need to pick up on, And I guess the song did it's job. as it reminded me that I don't do enough.

Yep, I wrote that. If I post a cover on YouTube, I do my best to attribute it heavily, including weblinks to the artist. But yeah, that one's mine for better or worse. It's a lot of fun to pick.

It's not in standard. It's in a hybrid used by L.J. Booth-- DADGCD. Kind of like open D and mountain minor (Gsus). That C on the second string opens up some interesting melodic opportunities you don't get in DADGAD. Open tunings give rise to some interesting chords by way of accident, mostly.
