Title: Help in Tracking my LV-03E
Post by: Alexrkstr on April 08, 2007, 02:52:16 AM
I recently switched from a MobilePre soundcard (2 XLR phantom powered mic in's) to the Digidesign MBox 2 Mini (2 ins: 1 Phantom power, 1 line in).

I have the following:
  • MXL 990/991 pair (Diaphgram and Pencil)
  • Audio Technica Vocal Mic
  • The straight in from the Line in from the LV-03E

What do you guys recommend as the best way to track considering I only have one phantom powered input?

Thanks guys

Stick one of those mics about 6-12" out from the neck/body joint.

You might find that moving a little closer to the sound hole will boost the bottom end, moving farther away from it will lower the volume on the lower end.  Try each of your mics.  You'll probably like one better than the others.
