Title: My New Tacoma Roadking
Post by: Robb on May 12, 2004, 09:23:51 AM
I Just rec. my new Tacoma RR8 roadking from Notable guitars...I bought this model because it has the same woods as my Larrivee Parlor but in a larger package with the same neck spec's as the parlor in a dread size body. The one thing that I noticed out of the box and as much as I love Larrivee's, the fretwork on the Tacoma is nothing short of outstanding... My parlor had the typical sharp ends new when i bought her. they werent from sitting around to dry, In my opinion they just werent dressed well before shipping... but the Tacoma fretworks feels like butter. If Larrive made a dread size with an 1 3/4 neck thats was affordable I would have bought one, but I am very happry so far with my new Roadking.

Rob,

How is the tone ? I play fingerstyle and I tried several Tacoma Chiefs but I was a bit disappointed. Someone suggested me to try the Roadking.
Which is your opinion ? Is it a good guitar for fingerstyle or the low end is too powerful ? Thanks
