C-19 from 1983 - Beautiful top

Every once in a while there is a discussion about how tops darken with time.  Saw this on CL and thought some folks might find it interesting.

The first picture looks to be taken during "Golden Hour" and the second indoors.  It is listed in the SF Bay area CL.  I have no affiliation with the seller.  Please delete if this is inappropriate

Wood aging seems to always be a popular subject around here. Here's what happens when Sitka spruce spends 3,000 years buried but doesn't petrify. It gets this ghostly appearance. It seems red tones fade in just about all woods if you give them long enough.
