Larrivee pickup going bad

I have had my Larrivee D-03 for about 10 years.  The pickup appears to be flaking out from time to time. I switch batteries and that doesn't usually help (it's flakey, so sometimes it does).  It can get "stuck" with the red light on from time to time.

The pickup electronics is an LR Baggs pickup. I will contact them, but if I'm unable to find something with exactly the same size, then the guitar has to be modified to fit a new pickup.  Any recommendations on how this is done?

I am assuming your L.R. Baggs is is the barn door variety cut into the upper bout side.
You should be able to find a good qualified technician able to troubleshoot the electronics in the Atlanta vicinity. Sorry, I don't personally know of one, not being in that area myself.
Worst case scenario, finding a replacement that will fit that should not be difficult. In the unlikely event that you don't find a drop in replacement, expanding that port is not difficult. And that's all "worst case".
Good luck.
Let us know how it all works out.
