Seen at a local shop today...  Forum Guitar II #8 of 10, mahogany top, mahogany back and sides.  (admins, if posting prices is not acceptable please delete the photo).  I am not selling or associated with the guitar, though it's tempting.  The guitar seemed to be in very good condition with the action set pretty nice, other than needing new strings and a thorough wipe down.  And...  3 of the tuners were in operable so it would need new tuners.  I tapped a little and there were no0 death rattles so I think the bracing is all intact.  I'm not sure if it had a case.  As it couldn't be tuned and the strings looked like they were at least a year old, it was impossible to get a decent sound test but I got the impression new strings and tuners would make it a lovely guitar.  I didn't even ask if it had the case (though they usually put that on the tag).
p.s. looking at the photo, it looks like the binding on the end of the fingerboard is missing.

I don't think you need to delete the photo revealing the sale price of a used guitar that can't even be tuned up due to "inoperable" tuners.
(Interesting that a shop owner would put a guitar up for sale in such condition.)

It has a 45 day satisfaction guarantee.
It's worth it to buy it, fix it, and resell it to the forum.
We can't inspect it for action, string height, etc.
If I were there, the pictures might have been taken hanging on the wall in my house.
And since we are no longer in MSRP vs MAP land, we pretty much don't need to stress about mentioning prices, IMHO.

That's kind of what I figured, on both accounts. It is Guitar Center though.  Don't get me started on GC...

The tuner knobs just turned free on the shafts.  It bordered making me sad, especially remembering back to all the discussions around finalizing specs for each of the forum guitars.

For a little less I'd have considered buying it and fixing it (and probably reselling it). But I'd rather spend my time playing.   :guitar

If an instrument has bad tuners, I consider it a warning sign, no matter how nice the surface condition may seem. There could be issues with the bracing if the tuners are to the point they won't turn (over-humidification). The only Larrivee I owned with tuners like that was humidity damaged and I had to fix the braces.

In today's sour used market, I can't see a lot of prospect for profit but hopefully someone will negotiate a good price, fix it up, and love it.

That's what I was thinking.
 :cheers

Since we're on the subject, I saw a listing for a Forum III in a WA GC, if anyone feels the urge.

Whenever I see a listing like the one above, and think "I could fix that", I take solace in the fact that they are always righthanded, so of little use to me except resale.
