Patting myself on the back for resisting the temptation to order the 000 Forum VII. For the sake of disclosure, I was fortunate enough to score a Cedar/Walnut OM-03 earlier this year.

We applaud your resolve in standing firm against the temptations aligned against you.
I also did not order a F-VII, but have not opened a thread about it.
Are you happy with the OM-03 you scored?

I am delighted with the OM-03. I primarily use it for vocal accompaniment and it suits my style well both with a flatpick and with fingers. AS a buddy said, "that guitar just wraps its sound around you like a warm blanket."

We are very happy for you. I think the cedar/walnut is a great combo.
I actually experimented with other guitars awhile back. I got a Furch Blue OMc-CM (cedar/mahogany) and then a Furch BluePlus OM-SW (sitka/walnut). Both were used, and really good priced, and a result of my needing to experience what Larrivee could not offer at that time. They are both really good guitars and I still have them.

I would like to spend some time in a shop with some Furchs, but it is probably a good thing I haven't. I am already blessed with a nice assortment of guitars to rotate my way through and I am at an age to cut back on new additions.

There is a Furch showroom not too far away from me. I've always meant to visit, but never have. I should call and see if they have any leftys in stock the next time I'm in that area.

The dealer I work with sell Furch lefty instruments and has demo videos of them. Woodstock School of Music in Illinois. Dave plays lefty.

indeed. I look at their site from time to time for the lefty Larrivees and Furchs. I've seen some of the vids as well. They are 2+ hours away, which is not too bad if I really have the itch.
