Looking at the photos from the original post and the subsequent comments from the seller, this would be a nice guitar for someone to buy. I'd be willing to bet that this guitar looks even better in person than it does in the photos. Someone should jump on this one.

P.S. My first Larrivee is also a Special Edition Parlor that I bought back in May 2004 and the only difference is that my guitar has a flamed maple back and sides instead of rosewood. These guitars came with a padded gig bag but I immediately purchased a hardshell case and had Jim Holler at Trinity Guitars remove the clear pick guard. My recollection of my conversation with Jim when I bought mine 21 years ago was that he was selling Larrivee parlors as fast as he could get them. The Larrivee parlor is the perfect sized guitar for a porch picker like me and is also great for traveling. I routinely swap guitars back and forth with my son and my parlor is his favorite. This model is exceptional for fingerstyle and country blues and mine takes me back to the early 1900s when I play it. I've only seen one other parlor like mine that I played about 15 years ago at Elderly Instruments.

Hear hear - I'm not a rosewood guy but my moon spruce p-03r is incredible and parlours are AMAZING.

Not sure what the "special" is in the special edition here - would be good to know.
I can't buy, too many guitars... but would be good to know. Looks great!
Larrivee OM02, OM03BH, OM05
Larrivee P03, P03R-JCL
Northwood Studio OO adi/hog
Northwood OM engelmann/borneo-rosewood

I am speculating, but I think back when this guitar came out there weren't many rosewood parlors with maple binding, so they made a limited run of these.

Whatever the reason for it being named "Rosewood Special Edition" it is special.

Take care
