JCL's wood selection - NGD

 Even a Myopic Squirrel finds an acorn every now and then.

As we know, Jean Larrivee is noted for his tonewood selections, but my luck with his mahogany has been great. Santa came early, delivering this 000-40MH last week from Sweetwater. With its increased bass (as SP6 commented in an earlier post), even with the low tension T/I ac 111s I can literally feel the vibrations when strumming a E chord. Uncertain yet how much the mids are affected, but overall sounds great to these old ears.

Interesting aside - in spite of a minimally larger lower bout, was surprised my shoulder immediately felt the difference from the 00.

I agree with Mr. BOWIE. That isn't my sound choice. An all-hog guitar sounds better.

Beautiful guitar,figuring on the back is just peachy,no one does Mahogany like Larrivée.
