Back in the Fold

My favorite guitar of all time was my 2004 D-03R. A real cannon, that of course, had that wonderful Larrivee balance! Anyway, I got into a really bad position in 2017 and had to pawn it. I later bought a D40 in 2018, but I never really bonded with that one. Really missed the Rosewood tone and I honestly like the traditional series more than the 40s. I've actually been guitarless for about a year, while I was finally in a position to own one again and I found this OM-03R from the exact same year as my original baby! I am thrilled as I like to finger pick a little more than I use to and this guitar is amazing so far! Needs a little setup work, so I can't realize it's full potential yet. Ordered a saddle and a nut from Larrivee. Just so excited to have an OM from 04 built in Vancouver. Hopefully she'll end up as good as her big brother. Other than some belt buckle scratches, she's in really good shape.
     She's a little on the humid side since coming from Florida and unfortunately my house is kind of humid here in Oklahoma right now as well. I've been setting outside on warmer dryer days and hygrometer reads in the low 50s so getting there!
     Anyway, it's good to be back in Larrivee land!

Welcome back!  My guitar is from 2003 and the Vancouver era holds a special place in the heart for me.  They built so many wonderfully simple guitars out of that shop.  Every time I see one at a guitar show, shop, etc, I pick it up and give it a spin.   May you play your new one in good health for many years to come!

I have never owned a RW guitar, but I've long admired the look of the RW up next to a mahogany neck.  Such a great look!
