If you're looking for a local sale only, try Craigslist.

I share your sentiments. I'm too nervous to ship a guitar to someone for fear of not getting paid and losing a guitar.

If you want to sell and ship a guitar without getting ripped off, I recommend eBay or Reverb.  Both great ways to sell to someone abroad.
