I just bought a used Larrivee OM-03R with a serial number from 2008, and have a slight curiosity about the label.  I notice most of these guitars from then are labeled "Handcrafted in Vancouver, BC", but mine says merely "Made in Canada".  Does this mean it was not made in Vancouver?

This might answer your question.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I've read that page. It doesn't answer the question though, except to hint they had some issues during the '08 recession.

Contact Larrivee.com and provide your serial number. Generally you can expect a reply with 3 business days.

Twotoner,

Congratulations on acquiring a nice guitar and for joining the Larrivee Forum. A word of caution; If you hang around here, the OM-03R you bought won't be your last Larrivee. If your guitar was built in 2008 in Canada, it would have most likely been built in Vancouver but customer service can confirm.

The label on my 2004 Larrivee Parlor says "Hand Crafted in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada." This was the first of two Larrivees I have that were both built in Canada. I also have three Larrivees that were built in Oxnard and the build quality is exceptional.
