:donut Good morning. New member to the forum. Just purchased my first Larrivee and couldn't be happier. It's a Simple 6 000 12 fret and I love it! I had a chance to meet Matt Larrivee last weekend at a local music store and after playing a few and hearing the family story, I pulled the trigger on this one.
I'll post pics when I figure out how to have them hosted.

Welcome to the Larrivee Forum.
And congratulations on your new Larrivee guitar.
Perhaps the following will help you post some images of your guitar.

Welcome to THE forum, congrats on your new guitar and just so ya know, there'll be more.

Here are a few pics. It has Silver Oak back and sides. Not sure how this wood affects the tone but I like it. It played amazing right out of the box. I just had to lower the action a few thousandths and that was it. Never had a new guitar that didnt need a decent initial setup.

Still trying to figure out adding pics...lol

Welcome and CONGRATULATIONS on your new Larrivee!   :nana_guitar

Can't wait to see your pics and really cool you met Matt. The Larrivee Story is really interesting!

You have a great Larrivee to start with and as Rockysdad (Herman) noted, it probably won't be your last. I'm on my fifth Larrivee in 20 years and I still have all five of them.

This Forum is a great source of information about all things Larrivee.

Finally here are some pics. Thanks for all the welcome comments and help!

Thanks for sharing your photo and story.  Larrivee is a great brand and all the regulars here are very friendly and a great resource for many music and guitar topics.

That is a NICE burst.... congrats and here's to many more  :nana_guitar

Cool. I'm impressed you went for a 12 fret. An OOO would be my second choice after my OO's. I remain baffled that there are so few 12 frets in every shop I visit. Once I got the 12 fret bug, I couldn't enjoy anything else.

Wishing you a long and happy journey with your new Larrivee!

I'm with you here... I sorta wish my OM05 and OM Bhilwara were OOs. I try not to think about it too much else I know I'd GAS.

Well, watch this space as I've been thinking of thinning the herd. Looking askance at the OO-44 and the OO-05 at the moment but this notion changes weekly.   Sadly, the 05 has some bumps and bruises, the 44 some issues as well. In any event I'll post them first . . .

Tempt me not lol (also, I'm in the UK!) - looking at something else or just thinning?

You know, I have so many great guitars now. I've a Halcyon coming, too.
I could easily buy more (if I had the money) but have so damn many now.
My OM02 has aged well because I played the hell out of it for ten years.
Sometimes I yearn for those one-guitar days!

Yikes, ah then you're toast, dude. <grin> :roll  Nope not gonna even think about shipping overseas, it's scary enough doing Reverb and eBay deals.

Just thinking out loud here, when I retired I went thru quite the GAS phase with guitars. I must have had about 6 partscaster at one point and quite a few different sized Larrivee's as well - OOO's LSV's LS's. Finally settled on the OO size and for some reason different OO models kept popping up that I had to try out.

Fast forward to now realizing that the sonic differences between the OO's in my harem aren't really significant enough to have them languishing in their cases waiting for me to play. Heck, they all sound great, I can't lose settling in on one or two. So these need to go out where they can be enjoyed. At the moment my Tayor is getting some renewed appreciation but that dude is mellow as heck so the much brighter OOV might be the one I settle on for a bit of variety.

My single guitar days were spent on a Taylor 412 back in the 90's. Man, I played the heck out of that thing and loved it. I wore out the bottom five frets to the point of needing a refret. That's likely how my ear got set for smaller guitars and when the Forum IV arrived it was 12 frets forever for me. . .

That is sweet looking. I'm reminded of an LS-03 that was silver oak back and sides I once owned. Mine was unstained and while the grain was quite striking and dramatic, the stain on yours adds just the right touch. I really like that look, the sunburst is perfect as well.  :nice guitar:

Thanks. I'm really liking it so far. I plan on adding a pickguard and some bone bridge pins soon.

Thank you! I've always wanted a 12 fret. This is the only Simple 6 12 fret 000 I've seen so far..
