Pete Hawkes - The DADGAD Files

^^^  I randomly found this album and wanted to recommend it.  It's very stripped down with simple melodies and not a bunch of slapping, tapping, and treating the guitar like a set of drums (seems like more and more people are doing that nowadays).  There is some wonderful violin accompaniment as well with a Celtic flavor/feel.

I don't know anything about this player but really enjoy this album.

You mean a guitar isn't just a cajon with strings? Unfortunately, my laptop crashed and my ancient iMac won't navigate to many sites. Spotify being one.
