I'm looking for opinions on the best amplifiers ? Or what is your preference?
I am playing a LV-03. I was using an acoustisonic 40 and it doesnt show the tone justice.

Thanks !

What kind of pickup on your LV-03? Knowing that would help.
Mike

Welcome ashadowman,

FWIW, no one makes a Venetian cutaway better than Larrivee so congratulations on your LV03.

I use a Fishman Loudbox mini (60 watt) amplifier which can be found for less than $350 new. They also make a 120 watt Fishman Artist amp with more bells and whistles. My pickups include:

1) I-beam active p/u in my LV03 12 string w/mahogany top, back and sides.
2) Anthem dual source p/u in my LVS03*with moonwood spruce top, walnut back and sides.
3) Fishman Humbucker soundhole pickup for my other acoustics which include two dreadnoughts, one OM and one 000.

I’m happy with all three pickups but I’m glad I had the Anthem Dual source installed at the factory in my LVS03 last year.

*Mike in Lytle led the charge and coordinated the concept of the Forum VI guitar with John Larrivee in 2021 for 19 lucky players. I was fortunate to be one of them. You can search the Larrivee forum archives to learn more about the genesis and development of the Forum VI guitar.

My dream amp would be to get one of those AER compact 60 watt amps. I’ve heard they are amazing, and Tommy Emmanuel plays on one.

The p/u is the lr baggs element

FWIW, your LR Baggs Element is stereo capable and the endpin jack is TRS. So if want to add another pickup like a passive magnetic pickup, Passive K&K, a passive IBeam pickup or a lavalier condenser mic, you can stereo cable out to a dual source preamp like a Fishman Blender, K&K Trinity, Rane AP 13, or other dual preamp that will split a TRS cable to two separate channels. If you use a condenser lavalier mic, you need phantom power on your preamp. (6-9v). For other passive options you can get a TRS splitter to TS jacks and send the to different channels to your amp.

For wiring, see fig 7 in the Element manual:

For amplification, I had a Roland AC 60 but later went to a Boss Player Live (it is also 60 watts but has a basic looper and vocal harmony features). Both are 2 channel with phantom power on the mic channel. The Boss has a 10db which will tame a really hot mic.

I run the line out to a powered speaker to fill out the overall sound. I posted a pic of my setup a while back.
