Thanks for sharing this video.  It's a great cheap way to alter the guitar sound with just a different pick.  Lately I've been trying a super thick pick.  Not my favorite, but a fun change up.   :thumb

I used heavy picks for years,on the electric I use them.On the acoustic I've back to med they sound better for me.

I have owned every big name pick out there at one time or another, mostly experimenting on mandolin but also some on guitar.  The thicker picks make a lot more difference on mandolin since I play tunes and melodies and they tend to make the notes fatter, etc.  On acoustic guitar I'm mostly a strummer and singer of songs, so a regular old medium pick works perfectly.  I eventually got rid of all the fancy picks even for my mandolin and went back to using plain old Fender heavies.
