I am also wondering about weather conditions.  I would hate for a delivery like this to be setting out in the cold for any length of time.

I know that FedEx (and presumably UPS) will hold an order and let you pick it up. I believe these will ship with a 'signature required' label, so they shouldn't sit on your doorstep. I just know if I'm out of town, knowing that it is waiting at a FedEx shop for me would prey on my mind!

Hey all, I have been out for awhile, and I know John was out of commission for a few days, but when I asked for "any updates" he did post the last group of photos. I did not ask about the schedule, or deliveries, and John didn't say anything about that either. I don't ask about schedules, just waiting like everyone else.
I think if anyone is concerned about holiday travel or making sure you are around when your guitar is being shipped, you would be able to talk to John about that when finalizing the payment, since we will all be contacted by John at that point.

I'm with Mike...while it would be SUPER COOL to have a new guitar under the tree at Christmas, this is going to be a short month production-wise and logistics are a nightmare this month. I am not anticipating the new addition to my family until after the New Year. And as Mike said, John and Matt will give us all plenty of notice as far as ship dates...you better believe I'll be riding that tracking number all the way to my front door!!

Christmas delivery of our much anticipated Forum VI guitars was always kind of a mythical, if not hopeful, suggestion based on our order date. I agree that it's pretty unlikely at this point, and not at all a disappointment. I am, however, thinking it's entirely possible that I will be getting mine as a birthday gift to myself in January!

I was just hoping that if I baked some very special cookies (no, not THOSE kind), that Santa might stop by. But totally happy with the process. Fun hanging out with y'all in any case.

Me, too - except mine is January 4th, so that might still be a little unrealistic, although the pics John posted today make me more hopeful!!!

January 19th here, so regardless, it's a Christmas/Birthday present. And the new pictures are so nice!!!! Man, that walnut finishes soooooo beautifully!!!

They look amazing!  I will be celebrating 60 trips around the sun in February. I can't think of a better 60th birthday present even if it is delivered a little early.

Wowww........those are gorgeous!!!  I'm truly getting excited now!  My birthday is Dec. 21 so that won't be happening.

Wow. Don't run across too many folks with a b-d on the 4th... a couple years ago I met a woman who was also born the same year as me (1958): we never did figure out which of us was older/younger (!).
