Guitar Center really buried the led here. I clicked on it just to see the unique logo inlay and to my surprise saw a stunning flame maple back and sides!

Just FYI and not including the link in case it's not permitted, but I just thought someone might be interested as Maple Larrivee's don't pop up too often.

tried to show link, didn't work.
If I didn't already have a real nice L-03 Flamed Maple I'd be checking it out. Nice looking guitar though.

That seems to work for me, I just pasted it without using the "Insert Hyperlink" method . . .

I was attracted by the Logo inlay which is kinda stunning, an interesting choice to put the "Larrivee" near the middle and not at the top edge. Then I clicked on the other picture links and whoa! Flame maple is stunning.

About a month ago on AGF some luthier put up audio samples of several guitars he made of different woods as a blind test for everyone and the maple he had astonished me. It sounded amazing, the best one by far. Taught me a lesson in that bracing is everything, seemingly. My only experience with maple was a Taylor I picked up in a store some 15 years ago that left my hands instantly. I'd be tempted on this OM but I've recently binged on 2 new Rosewood OO's, and the OM isn't a 12 fret . . .

Pretty little thing.
:nice guitar:
That's the same headstock logo as my 2009 L-09 so it's been around for at least that long.

A little off topic, but with recordings, keep in mind that mic choice and positioning is everything. Sales people often use this to manipulate people into thinking their cheaper product sounds better than an expensive one. I see it all the time on YouTube. Not that the luthier you speak of was doing that. I only mention it because comparisons like that are of limited use because mic position is always going to favor one instrument.

On-topic, Larrivee is great with maple. I had a jumbo maple and the flames were ridiculous for such a large instrument. Was a joy to look at each time I picked it up to play.

I'm not typically a fan of Maple guitars, but I am definitely a fan of that one!
Happily married to the woman of my dreams and looking forward to growing old together.<br />Truly,God has smiled upon this simple man.

Someone already snatched that beauty!  Thank you whoever you are because now I can stop obsessing.
