Larrivee top colors

I am ordering an OM-40 with vintage sunburst top. Then I spot Tabacco sunburst. That looks nice too. So I go on the Larrivee website to see exactly what the options are. I don't find any place on the site that mentions top color choices. Anyone know where to find what colors are available? Don't want to make a mistake on this guitar.
Thanks.

I'm sure you will love the OM-40 no matter which finish you choose.  I can tell you that, to my knowledge, they just off one standard sunburst on the acoustics unless you special order something else.  I have seen red sunbursts  once or twice.  But this one here is the standard one and it could be called vintage or tobacco I think. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Larrivee website, then to options.

TSB ( tobacco sunburst) is an option ( or was last time I checked.

I have a couple, the dmv hog is full body & top tab, the OM 60 is just top..
I believe rosewood can be a bit tricky to do a full sunburst on....

Jean used to do the bursts himself, and certainly did on the Pete Anderson guitars.

when looking at options, consider a slotted headstock, with volute as well.
then there's the pyramid bridge.... oh boy.....

just MHO......

I don't see any "options" section.
Maybe someone can comment on the differences between vintage sunburst and Tabacco sunburst. That would help.
Thanks.

I thought that, in Larrivee speak, TSB stood for Total SunBurst (not just top). My OOO-50 TSB is beautiful and a killer guitar.

Interesting point-
the labels on both my 2004 NAMM show Larrivee guitars -OM-60- Stotted head "Tobacco Sunburst,
and the OMV-50 Slotted head Tobacco sunburst .

Only the OMV-50 is a "total-full body"- burst- similar to yours.

I have yet to see a full body burst on a rosewood Larrivee.
A friend has a D-60 EIR also with just the top in TSB.

The Maple Pete Anderson 2 tone burst ( the TSB is at least 3 tone) is really just that- a simple 2 tone burst to replicate the original guitar it was designed after.
Limited run, so i don't think that's relevant to the "burst" discussion....

I believe that's correct. Total bursts are never rosewood. But never say never.

SBT= Sun Burst Top. TSB= Total Sun Burst.

At least that's how I remember it. aaymmv

Just checked the Larrivee site and they show it as 60 SBT and the 50 series now goes by 50-FSB.  I assume that stands for Full Sun Burst.

ah the old "specifications might change with-out notice" clause- thanks.

as I mentioned- when they first started doing the burst finish ( after the pete Anderson run) TSB stood for Tobacco-Sunburst -
rosewood was top only - as i have.OM-60 TSB
However the label on the full (total) sunburst guitar (OMV-50)is the same as the other guitar (tobacco Sunburst)

full body (TSB) is mostly for mahogany- but hey, those folks can do pretty much anything...

"Character is what you are in the dark"

I found the tobacco sunburst on my old SD60 was magnificent. Was hard not to stare at it every time I picked it up. Literally put me in a calm mood.
The general rule is that you get a top burst only if you're using a dark back/side like EIR. For lighter b/s woods, go for the full burst.

So can someone compare vintage sunburst to Tabacco sunburst ?

Thanks for all replys. I asked Larrivee to send me some pictures of Tabacco and Vintage sunburst. 5 minutes later I had them in my email. I think I like the Tabacco better than the vintage. My dealer is going to freak. I ordered the vintage on Monday. Might have to change the order.
Thanks again,

On the RS4 models pictured (tops only sprayed)
the Tobacco is the one with the darker tint (black) the traditional ( cherry) is the lighter one (pictured with an original RS4-CM from the eighties.
