"Senior" member means "old" right?
Like over 50?

Too many guitars to list here.
Too few brain cells to be bothered with...

So what's the story behind them?

Some discussions HERE

They did not sell many and the reviews I read simply said they were of quality build, but they were not a Larrivee...
George

the ad copy states
"Designed by Jean Larrivee, made in China using materials sourced by "Larrivee".
it also states Larrivee open back tuners.

it also states
"designed by Jean Larrivee as an entry level guitar"

as one moderator has added discussion links, I (like others) wouldn't mind knowing the real deal here.

doesn't look like a "bakersfield" conversation to me     :? :cheers :guitar

The seller (a dealer?) says he replaced the pick guard - it also looks like he replaced the original bulky tuners with Larrivee engraved open-back tuners: look closely at the picture of the faceplate of the headstock - you can faintly see the circles from the old tuner washers... I'd say the neck heel strap button is also an add-on - looks identical to some nice ones I bought from Stew-Mac recently.

Overall, I love the wood choices on this (even better than Larrivee's maple around the body and neck these days...).  The only questionable thing to me is the shape of the headstock, other than that, this looks like it could be a great intermediate or beater guitar for someone.  The internal pickup might suck, but it might be okay, too.
