Current idea for a custom Larrivee guitar

The absolute best sounding guitar I have ever played, bar none, was a Walnut/Cedar OM-09.

Black Walnut B/S, Cedar top.

I personally would not pick European (Italian, German, Alpine) spruce to top a walnut guitar.  I'd pick Engelmann or Cedar to bring out more overtones.

I feel that my guitar needs are currently being fully met with my two spruce-topped Larrivees. I don't NEED an all-black-walnut LS, I just want one and hopefully will eventually get one ordered by the end of the year.

I am thinking about cedar, too, if Larrivee will make one, but I wonder if the walnut wouldn't accept more aggressive strumming attack if I wanted it. I liked my cedar-topped A&L Ami for years, but the guitar needed to be strummed with a light touch. Something to think about. I may not mind a light strummer. (I mostly flat pick leads, chord leads, chords — I've been playing for 30 years but would say I am still an intermediate to advanced player. I like being able to strum aggressively sometimes, but I don't need to do it with every guitar I own.)
