Hi Georbro. Glad you found the forum. I see there's no need to convince you of the merits of Larrivee guitars.  :nana_guitar

:welcome:    Glad you're collecting the big ones... cause, I prefer them smaller...  Thanks for sharing your collection...

Thanks Bob.  Bigger bodies, bigger sound right? :roll  The smaller bodies usually have wider nut widths, which with my smaller hands are very difficult to play, so I lean toward the big bodies with narrow nut widths.  Even my 60 models were special ordered with 1 11/16 inch nut widths.  In my fifty years of guitar I never learned to finger pick, blamed it on my stubby fingers.  Thankfully Larrivee makes guitars in sizes to suit us all (and great flat picks too)!  glad to be here, George

That's quite a collection.  What's your favorite one?  I'm a flat-picker too.  Never mastered finger-pickin in spite of my repeated resolutions to do so.

Welcome to the forum from a Canadian member who also has been pickin for about 50 years.

D-40R, not the most valuable one, but she feels right, sounds right and plays great every time! (Looks good too).  I will pick this one up ten to one over any of my 35 or so guitars.  Nice to meet another flat picker!  :cheers

D-40R is my newest and is getting a lot of playing time right now;  but I still go back to the LS-03 Forum III regularly.  It's just about perfect in my view.

Welcome! Very nice collection.  I now feel better that I only have 4 guitars.  Thought I was over doing it.

I really have way, way too many.  Right now the count is 34.  I used to be ashamed, but now I am not, I just keep some listed for sale...  I probably belong here in what has been referred to as the Loonie bin... truly an old guitar nut  :humour:

34? George, you don't have a collection - YOU HAVE A GUITAR STORE!

Ha ha, you are absolutely correct!  I tell folks that I am getting prepared for my next retirement where I intend to do just that, but online from home.  It is difficult to make money on money since 2008 so I have convinced myself to invest in things I can enjoy now and sell them later, usually for not much less than I paid for them, instead of trying to save for an unpredictable future.  I learned that very clearly in 2005 when I was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal and prostate cancer.  It is better to live for now than to just hope you get to later.  The biggest problem with having so many guitars is that it is difficult to store that many guitars and cases and still have room to move, so I have really slacked off on the buying and am becoming very patient with the selling...  :bgrin:
