Larrivee Ukes are back after a 10 Year hiatus

Hearing from some of my Facebook friends that Larrivee face booked today:

In the comments I asked about sizes.  There will be all 4 sizes, Soprano, Tenor, Concert and baritone.


So what size shall we make the Forum Uke, Tenor or Concert?

I'm in for a forum uke, koa uke with a koa neck would be ideal.

I'd go for a forum uke too.  I've been cheating on my Larrivee guitars with my Koaloha Pineapple Soprano for far too long.  Time to renew my vows...

An all mahogany concert or soprano would be perfect.  Low bling high quality.

Would be willing to go either way. (koa or mahogany)  Would prefer low bling to keep the price down as Uke is not my main instrument (always need a chord chart since uke is just so damn different than guitar).

Would definitely prefer Tennor size, but would be willing to go Concert as well.

Who me??  I love koa!  Lots of koa at my place.  Just want to keep it affordable so that everyone can enjoy.  Maybe koa with no bling is the best route.

A Forum uke sounds great......Concert or tenor, Koa or hog, gloss or satin, yes no blings, sounds fantastic.

I wished Larrivee had done this earlier. With the Aussie dollar dropping rapidly against the US, things are a little different. But I'll be watching closely.

Every Larrivee Uke I have ever seen has had an ebony fingerboard.  Going to rosewood would probably actually raise the cost since I am sure that Larrivee has plenty of ebony that is just a hair too small for a guitar fretboard just sitting there waiting to find a home.

We've designed 4 main body styles Soprano, Concert, Tenor, and Baritone. Default config is hog on hog, but there will be spruce tops as an option. tenor and baritone are fan braced. They are dressed very similar to 40 series instruments, and the neck carve and heel are from the 40 series as well.
