I'm am looking for a 6 string fretted acoustic bass guitar.

This is a pretty rare thing, yes?  I would think that the tension would make for a need for heavy duty bracing in the body.

Larrivee did make some per order in the old days.  I have a five string Fretless from 1989 that is really nice.
