Cedar topped parlor...

... anybody played one, and how do they compare to the spruce top?

Less boxy and compressed sounding to my ears.  Were you looking at one of the Wildwood Customs?

The only cedar topped parlor sized guitars I have played were Seagull.  Quieter and more focused midrange (boxier? or nasal perhaps) to my ear.  Decidedly less highs and present but muted lows.

Strings4Him - Yep.  Thinking about taking a chance on one.  Really like the size but don't like the boxiness of my P-03R

eded - I've got a Seagull.  Yep, different tone than the spruce larry.
