Hi all! I've been lurking for a bit now, but thought I'd introduce myself.  I recently received a D-02MH  (2010 model) as an anniversary gift from my husband.  What a guy!  It's lovely, and someday I might actually be able to play as good as it looks:).

Oh, and I live in Nebraska...today is hot, windy, and dusty.  Ahh...

Hello Sonoma, welcome to our little madhouse.   Glad to have you joining in.    How long have you been playing ?  Is this your first guitar ?
We'lll be looking forward to hearing from you now that you've decided to jump in.

Hey, thanks all.  I've been playing guitar for a while, but I'm not really very good.  This time, I'm actually trying to learn how to play and spending more time doing so.  It's helps that my guitar is lovely.  Thanks again!

Welcome great gift and a great guitar enjoy.

Congrates and welcome to the Forum.  What a grat gift!  I think I would fall over if my wife bought me a Larrivee.  I live in Southeast, Michigan.  They say Boulder, Colorado gets 360 days of sunshine a year.  We get the other 5!

Enjoy your new Larrivee.  Post some pictures and let us know when you get your next one.

its always nice to get a new guitar, especially when its a gift, how cool is that, I think the tone of the larrivee will inspire you as does me and so many others here, it seems the more you play one the more you love the sound, so it makes you want to play more, can be addicting, so it won't be long before you are playing as good as it looks, have fun :humour: :nana_guitar :donut :donut :donut :donut :donut :donut :donut :donut :donut :donut :donut :donut

Welcome, Sonoma, from another resident Nebraska Larrivee lover!  (...and GO HUSKERS!)

Did he buy it local or online?

It's probably very similar to my D-03 (with mahogany back and side); they are wonderful sounding guitars!

Back to the important topic of Nebraska weather - isn't this a crazy spring?! Someone I talked to the other day said we may end up with a drought like Texas had last year if this keeps up...

Thanks!
He purchased the guitar from an online dealer...the only way to get a Larrivee here.  It is a great guitar...now, I just have to get better at playing it!

And, the weather is gorgeous.  I'm concerned about what is to come, but nothing I can do about that anyway.  Oddly, we've planted tomatoes already.  We just figured, what the heck, might as well.
