Hi!,

I am looking for another acoustic guitar and I was wondering which one i should get. In other words, is mahogany or rosewood more suitable for recording/live performances?

Thanks

If you're looking for recording it is generally considered best to go with the fundamental tones (i.e. mahogany). People like Pete Huttlinger (Collings OM1) or Joni Mitchell (Martin D-18) went that way. Of course, the first question should be: what do you have now? And then it becomes personal preference.
Larrivee L-03 w/Gotoh 381 tuners (African Mahogany/Sitka)
Collings OM2Hc (EIR/Sitka)
Schenk Ophirio (Sapele/Cedar)
Bourgeois 00 Custom (Mahogany/It. Spruce)
