He's talking about getting kilos of product from Columbia that we grind up into powder for an energy boost. I don't know where this cocaine talk is coming from... ...

I thought cocaine was a ski resort in Chautauqua-Allegheny New York.  :?

I am still really enjoying the Costco Colombian Blend (huge tin so I seem to never run out anymore).  I make mine a little strong and add a bit more milk of late.  Makes a wonderful morning cup. Highly recommend trying this blend.

For past two weeks I've been making an honest effort to drink black tea. I'm sorry, but I just can't get used to it. Brown water...

I love tea, especially herbal tea in the evening. But, when we run out of coffee and I try to tell my wife "This is a good opportunity for us to use up the black tea", we both wear looks of disappointment on our faces. That lasts about 1 day.

My wife drinks black tea (has for many years).  Her go-to is PG Tips Extra Strong from England.  It's not all that easy to find locally so she usually has to order it.

I'm still trying with black tea. Part of the problem is that I've had a sinus cold for a while and can't smell much.

Quote from: B0WIE on February 01, 2025, 12:17:35 PMHow is that stuff? It's very expensive and the 5lb bag commitment doesn't make it any easier, but I have been intrigued and considering it for a while now.

I really like it. I think it's about $15 for 2 lbs at our local Costco.

A friend texted this to me the other day. It's not very good but it pretty much sums up my last 2 years.

Picked up a bag of this Kicking Horse coffee last week and finally opened it yesterday.
Very nice brew. Not at all bitter.
I will buy this again when this 10oz bag is empty.

That particular roast of kicking horse was my go to up until the pandemic when prices jumped. I went through at least a couple dozen bags.

We got a grinder and a nice kettle with a gooseneck as a family Xmas gift back in 2023.  We've been buying beans instead of ground coffee since then.  I make one big cup every morning, a simple pour over.  I've tried all the Kicking Horse and they are definitely good, but kinda pricey!  Last few months, I've buying big bags of Melitta Espresso Bellacrema.  It's a lovely dark roast.  Nothing better than big mug of black coffee first thing every morning.
