OK folks, I wanna know how many of us own a Martin OM21. This little sleeper seems to get a few mentions around here so I though Id start a roll call.

Cheers, Scott.

I do not but it is at the very top of my wish list.  It seems to be getting more attention as a very nice player.

Mine is 16 years old and I just had it refretted.

It sounds like an OLD guitar, very different from new ones in the shop. Previous owner obviously played it a lot. When I got it, someone upgraded tuners to waverly. There is a highlander pickup installed. Truss rod is very hard to turn but works. A real player.

I don't have an OM-21. But I do have an OM-21 Special. Special it is. It has a rich warm tone and looks fantastic.

For the money, the OM-21 is probably one of the best values in the Martin Lineup and is a nice alternative to the 28 series for someone who wants a low cost rosewood guitar from Martin.

I chose an OM-35 over the OM-21 because I had a little extra cash left over following my Larrivee 12 string purchase and I prefer the look, sound and feel of the 35 series. At the time, I thought it filled a nice gap between the 21 and the 42 series.

Got one. Love it to death. Huge balanced sound for it's size.  :+1:

I wish, I wish, I wish.

Thought long and hard about one (or a Special w/o the tint) before getting my SCGC OM/PW, but went with the OM/PW.  Played an OM-21 a few months back and it was fantastic.  I think it would fit in nicely with my OM/PW and my OM-03R.  All three have a different sound and I love the OM size.

got to love them.  I have one myself, and I will never part with it.  Although they have the new Martin's OM-21, but there is nothing that makes me want to spend as much.  Now, off to the D-28 Sunbirst...

It's lovely guitar Obe-wan, I think the newer model would be something I'd consider in the near future also.

I don't have one in my stable yet, but I do own a OM-28V, OMJM and a 00-18V

How do you like the 00-18V

Beautiful, lots of volume for a small git, especially in the strumming, travis picking department, not as loud as my OM-28V but it sure holds itself up there. Beautiful in the finger picking department. The 'V' neck is also great not so noticeable and chunky in your hands.
Nice Martin tone, great for blues, something I found lacking in Larrivees.

I've only played one OM21, about four years ago, at a local shop.

Maybe it was too new, maybe it had old strings, I really don't know, but I was underwhelmed. Something lacking in the one I played.
GUITARS: Larrivee P-05, Dupont MC-50, NRP 12-fret "B", Robert Sayers custom flat-top, Cervantes Crossover 1, Todd Korup custom banjo-uke, McSpadden dulcimer, PRS 22 semi-hollow ltd, PRS DC3
AMPLIFICATION: RA-400, Rivera Venus 3

You get that in all guitars, some good some bad, thats why it's always wise to try before you buy

I have played lots of them in shops. The new ones are somewhat uneven. Often they sound a little thin. But the used ones almost always sound great.

But that goes for most guitars...
