I saw one of these on James McMurty's 12er and asked him about them. They are made in Fayetteville Arkansas.

This is from the PDF press release on his site. Download that PDF and you can see good pics and a full description.

"A Guitar Strap Like No Other
Standard acoustic guitar straps will either tie to the top of the neck of the guitar or require a peg at the base of the neck.
Both of these attachments create stress on the neck of the guitar.
In 2002, Bruce D. Walker, owner of Flying Possum Leather on Dickson Street in Fayetteville, Arkansas filed for U.S. Patent protection on a
new style acoustic strap. This strap, unlike any other guitar strap, creates no stress on the neck of the guitar."

It looks like a new product for a problem that doesn't exist.

Interesting strap that provides another alternative to drilling the heel. Not so sure I concur with the stress on the neck marketing angle they are putting forward, as only move this stress to the bout.

I would like to try one first.

As my title says "cool strap". At least I thought so.

I'd be terrified of moving in case it just slipped off leaving headstock crashing to the floor   :doh

PS haven't even got an endpin on my Larry, I'm thinking Duct tape and some nylon rope  :cop:

I agree that it appears like it would slip out of the cradle. But i think it's a good idea and would like to try one.
