Anybody like the B-Band in older Larrivees?

My JV-05E came with the B-Band system installed in the side of the guitar. The seller told me the system didn't work when I bought the guitar. Tonight I finally got around to tearing the system apart and checking it out. Took it apart and and checked all the connections and when it went back together...it worked!



Its probably not my first choice for a pickup system...but since it works I'm going to give it a whirl. Its the dual source system...don't really like the piezo sound but the SBT seems tolerable. Kind of bright but I guess I have to fiddle with all the little sliders on the pre-amp to get a tolerable sound.

I have the b-band AST in two of my seagulls. I have very little experience with pickups so I took Bob Colosis' advice with b-band. I really like them. Reproduces acoustic sound very well, across the entire sound spectrum.

I have a small experience with the guitar, though I am not acquainted with B-band, but as per as I know they are reputed with their musical team, all of their are guitarist plays well at any concert or the bass-based live show. I like heir style and the way of picking the musical instrument like the guitar.

I have the b-band a-2.2 dual source p/u in my LV-19, just two controls at the soundhole, blend and volume. Had a little trouble with low output on the UST but contacted b-band and they said they were aware of the issue and sent me out a new transducer free. Made a huge difference, I was able to balance out the output level on the small preamp mounted inside. It gave me far better range of tonal adjustment with the blend control actually doing something.  Overall I think its a great pickup but I think I'm still partial to the K&K.

I am just a beginner. Knowing your experience, wanna give a try to the B-Band system.

I've got the A-2.2 dual source systems on 2 of my Larri's: the barn-door type on my J-05e and the no-cut version on my LV-10e. Both work great and yes I like them - certainly worth keeping.
My mate has the active UST only in his Morgan and he absolutely loves it.

I do believe we're a little bit spoiled these days for variety to cater for every style and application though, but that is good right?

Yeah i like that band, I'm always watching this band if there  is a concert..
