OK I voted but couldn't make my mind up on the body so I voted for both an OM and an LS,12 string,12 fret neck and a gloss body.Wood of choice would be Maple for the OM and either maple or mahogany for the LS.Oh ya a CS would really be cool.Clear guard, paddle head, sunburst would be cool.A simple Larrivee inlay on the 12 fret and nothin on the headstock.

A 12 fret neck on a twelve string...I'd be all over that...

Is there a way to change my vote? :?

Denis I'm not sure anyone would commit to a higher end forum guitar. In a satin finish for me it would need to be a 12 string version of my Pete Anderson right down to that beautiful cheesey sunburst finish. In the LS I just think that they look classier in a gloss finish. No insult to the forum LS.Also a simple sitka top and the more I think about it I think mahogany would have more depth over the drier sounding maple for most people but I think I would still go for maple.

Make mine a rosewood back and sides (minus the sunburst) and I'm ready to write the check...

Click on "Remove Vote" and then re-vote

I just changed mine to a LS, 12 string, 12 fret, short scale, cutaway, satin

Ed,
Thanks for the response.  Man, I hope that wasn't there all along (that was pretty obvious). :roll

short scale OMV.......deep body would be perfect guitar.........either nut size would be fine but 1 11/16 would be preference.

Seems to me we need a slot head option in this poll.

Hi all.

I started the poll to help focus the discussion. I thought the place to start was the body style.  I also thought that the details of woods, slot heads, size at the nut, etc. would come once the consensus on the body was reached. Is everybody content to limit the choice to J, 000,  or L? Or just keep adding to the endless list of options?  :winkin:

Looks like the majority has chosen  000, 12 fret, short scale, 6 string in satin or gloss. There is no non cutaway option so the 21 votes for it is confusing, better to leave that as a choice the same as woods.

BTW  I voted 000, 12fret, long scale, 6 string, satin.  But only to view results, not interested in purchasing, no funds.

True!  Sorry.

I have a sense that there will be no consensus for the Forum V at this time.

Okay, I am adding the wood and other options w/o eliminating anything  (SIGH!!)

Hmmm...  I have a feeling my (usual) lack of emoticons made my comment come across harsher than intended.  Truth be told, I'm approaching the vote as it started out...

"And remember, absolutely nothing is riding on this... "

Actually, the LS 12 Fret 12 string oover on the classifieds might be as close as I might get to what I'd like in a 12 string without an uberexpensive custom commission.

No offense perceived or taken. I thought I was being helpful starting the poll and that people would coalesce around one style. Not to be. Not yet any way. I was expecting that the next F git would be larger, but it seems there is not even that agreement.  And when do we ever disagree here?  :arrow  :cheers

I just changed my options and realized I think I just described a FIII. If I had the cash, the one up for sale now would have a new home. So be it.
