I have decided to part with my precious '93 L-10 Custom. I'm the original owner and have developed a desire for an all HOG OOO or OM. This guitar is fantastic sounding and a real player. Is in near excellent condition, but for a few minor issues.
To get to any issues first, I'll explain a few things. Over 10 years ago, this guitar was lent to my brother to record with. Was during the winter months in NYC and a small crack developed below the bridge. Was caught in time, professionally repaired, cleated, and a small mylar patch applied on top. Has been a non-issue since. Have to look hard for the repair. Has a slight "corrugated" area in the upper left bout area. Again, a non-issue and something I've seen on new guitars.
There is a tiny ding on the outer area of the bottom bout. Have to look really hard for this one. Last, I just noticed an area on the top of the headstock yesterday while taking pics. It is on the very top and the light has to be hitting it right to really notice. Other than that, excellent condition with NO fret wear. I play lightly, which might be the reason for this. The fingerboard looks brand new, as does the rest of the guitar.
Now let's get to the good stuff. An amazing sounding guitar and a great player. Is set low, but can be picked hard w/o any buzzing. Also, a finger picker's dream. It plays like a charm, have been told by strangers in stores that asked to play it that it was in the top five guitars they've ever heard or played. When buying a new guitar, I would bring this one to compare others to, thus the interest from strangers. If not for lack of playing it and my desire for a mahogany guitar (like a nice Martin OM?), it would be staying home. Only reason. Has been my go-to guitar for years. Just took the white bone pins out and put the ebony ones back in. Am soon to getting a custom Italian guitar that is being built for me. Besides the F-IV. Have to thin the herd or fill my need for HOG. Either way, I'll be happy. Whatever home it goes to, it will be much appreciated and played. Another thing this guitar has is a "floating" fossalized bone nut. Just have to positon the nut where it goes and tune up. Have found that at times it has come in handy.
This Custom has the female genie inlay, which is not available anymore. Larrivee also put a stop on headstock inlays back in '06 to catch up with their orders. It also has Celtic fretboard inlays, another one that's not offered any longer. The bridge wings vine inlays are different than what's offered now. Comes with OHSC in very good condition. Have pics of the case also. A one-of-a-kind-guitar!
Because of the rarity of the inlays and what it would cost today if you could get one like this, I'm offering it at $1600, firm & final.  Started at $2400 because of the rare inlays. Retail on this one now would be about $5200, if you could get the SAME guitar. You can't. Looking to just get back what I paid for it. It is one amazing guitar. Have found another guitar, but can be put on latway for a while. Shipped to the lower 48 only, or to Canada if possible, with the buyer paying shipping.
My email is:  jjpestalozzi@sbcglobal.net. Pics available upon request and please, serious inquiries only.
  Thank you for your consideration.

Thanks. The pricing might seem high to some, but those that are interested will know the uniqueness of this guitar. People freak over things like small cracks, wanting a pristine guitar. I've seen many threads stating "no issues or repairs". Once repaired, the crack is now a non-issue, doesn't affect the awesome sound of this guitar, which has been "curing" for 17 years now. It is extremely balanced, full of the overtones one would expect from high quality EIR, plus a top that's opened up to really make this guitar have that unique sound one would expect from one this old. As I said before, have been told by many of how it sounds better than Collings, Santa Cruz, & other high-end boutique guitars. This is from dealers that carry those brands, also. Is great for finger-style, flat-picking, & any type of music you play. This would make a great guitar for a church service also. Has amazing projection. Just imagine a new one times 10. Plays almost by itself! And, when I said no fret wear, if wanted, I can provide a closeup of the fretboard to show this. One guitar that when all is considered, is a very special one.
I won't shed tears if it doesn't go, just am not using it. Everyone says the same thing, but this will definitely be better in someone else's hands, litererally. Was sworn to not selling it years ago. My luthier that ordered it for me said it was probably the best sounding Larrivee his shop has seen. I would really consider a trade for a OOO-50, preferably with a TSB top. Hard to find a good used one, though. Will wait & see?
And serious offers to buy close to what I'm asking would be considered. I was told to stick to my price, but money is the root of more guitars! Or something like that?
Shipping is always a variable, also. Something can be worked out. A trade would be considered for the right guitar. My wife is pretty upset with me about this guitar being put up for sale, but complains that I have too many guitars. Knows that this is my baby, so just think she's looking out for me?
Again, thank you for any considerations. Hopefully, the right person will find me.
    Jeff
Here's a little better shot of the full guitar? Realized that the other is a 35mm pic that I used my digital & took another one. Can't beat a good 35mm camera for perfect shots. Hey, that's for sale also!

So it seems I have come to doubt, all that I once held as true

I have decided to reduce the price of this guitar due to the fact that I have found a guitar I'd like to get. Can put that one on layway for a couple of months, so have time for offers. Also, some crazy selling going on here, so have to remain competitive. My new asking price is $1600, firm & final, shipped as stated in the first post. MANY pics available upon request. Also of the case, which is the OHSC in great shape. The pics tell all. Again, this is an opportunity to own a rare Larrivee. This time period is considered by many to be Larrivees best, really using high-quality woods on the higher series. Has a tone & playability I'd put up against ANY guitar. Have had boutique guitar owners, besides Martin ones, tell me how much better it played & sounded compared to their. Hated to say it, but true.
Thank you for your consideration. And, again, serious inquiries only, please? My contact info is below, as far as my email. PM me or email if interested and I can provide pics by email and my phone number if needed. I have sold a few guitars here, besides an OM case, with all being 100% happy with their purchase and our transactions. Guess that would be 100% rating on Ebay? :bgrin:
Can provide any info required, serial number also. Again, I'm the original owner. This is a players guitar that also has that amazing "Wendy Work" on it, for not much more than a standard L-10. Genie inlay alone would be about $1000, if it could be done. Like Beanie Babies, it is now a retired headstock inlay. As are all of the others. Was $350 for the custom Celtic fretboard inlays back in '93, but don't have an idea about now.
Thank you again and am willing to work with any interested parties. I'm an easy going guy, understanding about the economy, am in the same boat as others. Just want to make a lateral move and also get this into the hands of a person that will strum it the first time and just say: WOW!!!

This economy is really making those selling sweet guitars take a beating, not getting close to what they're worth. A mind is a terrible thing to waste, so is a great guitar! :bgrin: Don't let this one get away. Would like it to go to a Forum member with more than 1 post? :humour:  Lurkers! That's what I'd like, to stay in the "family", but will sell to any SERIOUS buyer. Notice the little bit of bearclaw? Awesome top.
  Thanks & good shopping!

Here's a pic on it's first B-day. Wanted to play itself, it was so happy!! :roll

Look, here's the bottom line on this one. Need $1600 to make a move into another guitar. Will take that amount to get the other deal done. If you're interested, please PM me or email @ the address on my profile. Is also on my first post. Don't let this one get away, as the price will go up eventually, will be posted on other Forums, which I don't want to do. This guitar should go to a member that will appreciate it. Will sell to anyone, but prefer to keep it in the family? :wave
Please, someone from the Forum show some interest, so it doesn't go elsewhere? This guitar is a one of a kind, fantastic sounding L-10, besides the inlays. One of Wendy's best works?
   Thank you.

Hello. I've been trying to put this on AGF, but they're having problems with my IP address. To entice those "that are waiting to pull the trigger", I'll sell at $1550, giving you the opportunity to use the other $50 towards shipping. Again, I ship FedEx ground, but go on-line after I box the guitar & get a guesstimate of all shipping options, based on box size & weight. Also, I try to ship on a Monday, so the guitar doesn't sit in a warehouse over a weekend.
Please PM me or email me @  jjpestalozzi@sbcglobal.net.
Thank you for your interest & look forward to hearing from you!

Based on the sale of a recent item, this guitar is now available for $1500, firm & final. All shipping is the same, as described in the first post & others. Those that have shown interest, thank you. Now is the time to jump on this?
Please contact me @ jjpestalozzi@sbcglobal.net. John in Canada (with the friend in AZ), if you still have interest, now is the time to please let me know. April's almost here?

I am waiting for a check from a party that had contacted me earlier. The guitar is sold, but can't mark it as such until I get the funds. If any problems come up, will post an update. Has to be this economy, as I lowered the price by $50 last night & by Karma (yes, Lynda, I believe) i get a sale.
Thank you all & will mark as sold @ the proper time.

10-1614 more than a number, it's body and soul.

FL, said the same thing about mine. Things changed in my life when I got my F-III, being the only one I played. Now, the F-IV when it comes, my Italian Stallion, & The Podium OOO-15s Special. A Martin Custom Shop guitar, Honduran HOG, -28 series gloss, much lighter stain than a -15 series. Bone nut & saddle, Schaller side-by-side open gear gold tuners with pearl buttons, and more. Cross between a vintage -17 & a -15 series. Cool-a**, awesome sounding guitar. Guess The Podium, according to Frank (salesman), deals with Sting, Ry Cooder, Keith Richards, & many others. Think I'm going the right direction. Have HOG fever. RW is great for many, but for my playing (blues mainly), I think I'm filling the void well?
Rob, it is going to happen. Have to find 2 boxes, one for my L-10, the other for the 2 electrics I'm sending you. Saved some money to send those to you finally.
Liker losing a piece of me, but gaining in other ways! :bgrin:
