Hey all - my Forum II #8 of 10 guitar was stolen yesterday. I have filed a police report, checked the area pawn shops and started checking Craigslist. If you guys happen to see it show up online somewhere will you please contact me? I can honestly say that I am truly saddened by this theft. That was my favorite gutiar ever...

Thanks all,

Dane Rada

Dane,
I am so sorry to hear about your Forum II being stolen.  There is a website called Jaxed that covers both Craigslist and Ebay by brand: http://www2.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/mash.cgi?cat=mus&itm=larrivee&loc=&fil=&ys=&ye=&ps=&pe=&pgs=100&submit=++++go++++  .  It has all of the listings on it with daily updates.  I hope you find it.  Was it stolen from your car?

No...it was stolen from Church.

Unbelievable ... society in general is going down a slippery slope these days.  I'm used to hearing these kind of stories on TV, but this is getting kinda close even for internet standards (member of the same small forum).

I really hope that the guitar finds its way back to you.

Man, sorry to hear this. Maybe the thief will post it on eBay not knowing how limited these were..

Dude, that surely sucks and stolen in a church none the less. Hopefully, it will be found and in servicable condition. My fingers are crossed.

Man this is terrible news...I really feel for you...and from a place that you should feel safe...really sad.  Best of luck.

Some info on your location may help others in the area keep an eye out.  I would certainly post something on other Guitar froums like the AGF as well.

I'm sorry to hear about your guitar...The loss of a Forum guitar sorta affects us all.
I'm in Baltimore, so I'll spread the word at Josh's Guitars of Pikesville, and I'll check the MASH web site more often too.
Send a PM anytime if you need me to check on anything up here.  Ross

Sorry to hear Dane, I will keep my eyes peeled.

I hope this turns up soon. It sounds like a low life took it and will more than likely try to make a quick $100 to buy some beer. It really is very sad what is happening these days. We had 3 new large 460 volt A/C units at one of the Church's meeting halls taken apart by thieves to get the copper. They would have got less than 500 for the copper with prices low right now but the damage estimate is well over 15,000.

That hog top Forum guitar will be a rarity at any pawn shop. I hope you get it back soon in good shape.

Dane--

I'm really sorry that your guitar was stolen.  Do you have photos of it you could copy to circulate in pawn shops and music stores?  I hope it turns up in good shape soon.

Ugly, ugly for sure when stolen, let alone from CHURCH.  What kind of person is at church and STEALS a guitar used in the worship/service???  Unfortunately there are some skunky folks about everywhere these days.

A good lesson for us all to be diligent, and to be real safe make sure you paid your INSURANCE premium and had it covered.

Wish you the best in finding the lost baby!  And to the *** who got it, we wish them...

Dane,  I just saw this about your guitar, sorry to hear it, I hope you get it back soon.

There was a gentleman over at the Mandolin Cafe who had two very expensive mandolins stolen from his home during a break-in
He made up fliers with photos' and serial numbers etc. got them out to all the pawn shops, music stores etc. in his area, also
he was able to contact the local newspaper who ran an article which was then picked-up by the local tv news.

In the end result he was contacted by two different individuals several weeks apart who he split the reward between and he was
able to get the mandolins back.

Try to get as much information out and as much visibility as possible, in his case they thought that because of all the attention
the thiefs may thought "no chance of selling/pawning these, we'll just return them for the reward offered."

All the Best

My wife says I can buy, sell swap guitars and cars as much as I want...
as long as I don't start swapping wives... sounds like a good deal to me.

Make sure the info gets to pawn shops in conecting states.Things stolen in Georgia end up here in fla and vice a versa.
