I have heard that it is Bohemian rhapsody however I am not sure if that is true because before recently I had never heard of this artist?

Got a streaming free music download and it turned out to be one of the craziest song progresions I have ever heard.

I thought the best song in the world was "tribute" by tenacious D?

So many to chose from...I'll go with...

Ice Ice Baby by Robert "Vanilla Ice" Van Winkle and DJ Earthquake.

A timeless piece of fluff... :humour:

Has to be George Harrison's "Blow away" - I love the songs with all the minor-chords on acoustics. (hmmmm, tomorrow I'll think of a different song)  :winkin:

The first that comes to my mid is Jeff Buckley's   Lover you should have come over.   :beer
Interesting progressions, nice lyrics and a great use of voice.
Larrivée OOO40-MT (2018)
Gibson Advanced Jumbo (1997)

No, it's that one BIG song that all the other's are just a piece of. The "mother" of all songs.
10-1614 more than a number, it's body and soul.

I don't remember the title but Harry Nielsson's song that has the line in it "your breakin my heart, your tearin apart so f**k you"

Looking at it that way, I vote for Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone"

What- no Free Bird?

(maybe "Achy Breaky Heart"?) ("Whoomp There It Is"?)

According to Michael Johnathon there are two: Yesterday by Paul McCartney, and the one he one he just wrote.  Thinking of that always makes me smile, and I think only folks who (at least try to) write songs understand.

There are three:

Lennon's "Imagine"
Bob Marley's "Waiting in Vain"
and of course "Stairway to Heaven"
If it sounds good, it is good.

Just going out on a limb here... I think this guy is spamming. First of all bohemian rhapsody is obviously not an artist but the song title of the Queen hit. His first post in a larrivee guitar forum is about the best song in the world???? Finally he links to a music download site, which although did nothing to my mac computer, I wouldn't be surprised if some malware showed up on the forums pc computers.

besides that, wish you were here - pink floyd   :bgrin:

Bob Marley's "Waiting in Vain"

I don't know if it is the greatest song in the world or not, but it is perhaps the most honest, plaintive, and simultaneously hopeful love song in the world. Good choice Bear!

Before AOR drove me crazy by over-exposing it I would have said "Layla" but now, some 30+ years later, I'm not so sure...

Gotta B the most known and sung too... Happy Birthday... family and friends all around, in a good mood, even the worst singers feel free to join in, and you get cake and a free wish afterwards. Does it get any better?

I'm a huge fan of "No Rain".. it's not an old song or something that defined a generation, but I love it!!! :)

Ah.. George
I have always liked "What Is Life"
"All Things Must Pass"
"Isn't It a Pity"
"Something"
Even later on Cloud Nine I really like "SomePlace Else"
