Nah. At the end of the day, I'm just so glad Larrivée has none of this kind of thing.  :whistling:

Have you seen the Claire 2 model from Martin? They had one at a local shop - pink? and over 5 g's?

I mean, its still a Martin, but -  really?

I agree - I am very glad that Larrivee doesn't do these things -

Bunch of Larrivees - all good -

wish I hadn't seen that.

If I had a better grasp of photshop, I would dummy something up just to hear the collective gasp here, but I don't.  :humour:

I'll give you a  :+1: on that.  And let's not forget the

Felix http://www.martinguitar.com/guitars/choosing/guitars.php?p=m&m=FeLiX%20III

Seafoam http://www.martinguitar.com/guitars/choosing/guitars.php?p=m&m=OMCE%20Seafoam%20Green

models from Martin.  The special issues are lucrative for Martin but knowing when to say when would come in handy.

Oh, let's find a way! We'll have it read ... Taylor Goes Larrivée or something like that? Computer people? Photoshoppers? Can we get Ms. Swift playing a C-10 with some fancy inlay or something nifty like that?
I did like the little Felix the Cat Martin though. Almost bought one.

I don't care how it starts if the result is a lifelong relationship with music.

There's only a few things going for us: 1) they're built in limited quantities, and 2) they're wood and can be used for fuel.

I agree, but I'm still glad no brand I own stoops to that level AND from my experience someone who wants to play guitar will play one. If it's more about what the guitar looks like, or that it's got cheezy autograph and doodlings of thier hero on it, they probably won't stick with it.
10-1614 more than a number, it's body and soul.

People pick up guitars for different reasons and stay with it for different reasons. If a certain guitar causes someone to pick one up who otherwise might not and if by chance this person sticks with it then all is good in my books. Now the company is hoping for brand identification so all can be good in their books. Win win for everyone if you ask me.

I don't think it'll happen soon although some people feel the same way about unicorns and jesters and such and why did you think I titled it so? It was meant to amuse. My sincere apologies to 12 year old girls everywhere. My step granddaughter, seven, just got a pink First Act electric guitar and she glued flowers and stuff all over it. Very cute. I'm still glad Larrivée doesn't go there ... yet.

This is the exact model I bought for my daughter.  She is 11 and loves Taylor Swift.  I think it is pretty clever marketing on Taylor's part.  They may get girls playing guitar and if they stick with it, they may upgrade to the fancy Koa models that Ms. Swift plays.  For $299 it is same price as regular Baby Taylor.  It is sweet sounding with nice balance though not a lot of depth, and it is so easy to play!  I pick it up all the time and fiddle around with it.  Honestly, you don't even notice the design on the front after awhile.  Now if it was pink, it might be a different story!

Could be the first guitar ever really marketed to tween girls. Sure, why not -- I bet they'll sell lots.

At the end of the day, whatever will SELL guitars is likely to be done by about all the manufacturers.  It is called staying in business!

Yes, probably so with a lot of the ones that consider themselves manufactures.
There a lot of guitar builders out there that wouldn't stoop to that crap though.

You, apparently have a low opinion of all things and all humans. I salute JCL for his integrity and stick to-itness. Larrivée guitars is a family run operation. I'm actually happy Taylor Swift doesn't play a sparkly Larrivée. I couldn't care less if only players no one's ever heard of, played Larrivées. Sorry Jean, Matthew and family. If as soon as he gets famous, Brad Paisley switches to McPherson and Martins, that's his loss. It all comes down to da funny French name. Oops sorry again but I know. I've had one all my life. C'est domage. Americans can't pronounce Favre. They struggle with Gagne. Call them, let's say, Matthew Guitars and they fly off the walls in the States. I've always said so.

My 16 year old daughter say she wouldnt be caught dead with this guitar -

i really think kids today are smarter than that - having a Taylor swift model is one thing , but to silk screen her name on a guitar right across the front is really lame . Think about it - could you imagine playing out with that guitar -unless it was a comedy act -who would do it ? i know its for some kid bedroom player -and as stupid as this sounds -in twenty years from now this model will probably bring the real bucks from collectors .

I figure it's for younger girls. 10-14. A little older like your daughter and girls will want something more serious.
