wtb-solid wood dread for bluegrass?

Just testing the waters to see what's out there.

Saw a Larrivee 02 on ebay the other day...wish I had bid...

Not sure if a Mahog-or RW would be better for me.   Mostly big open chords for bluegrass...

Looking for a boomer on a dud budget...

Custom D Martin?  D-16GT?  Am open to advice and suggestions...

Go for a DO3R.My one holds  up well against a Martin D28 and even a nice Collins dreadnaught.

that will compare with anything out there
I might even like it better than my Martin D28CW

                For bluegrass you want Mahogany. Definitely not Rosewood. Especially if you'll be singing. So go for a D-02 or 03.
            That Gibson Gospel in the above post could be a nice one at the right price. But the D-02 03's are the best solid wood bargains out there right now.

I have a very nice dread in the For Sale section of the forum.  It is an Alvarez MD60 (all solid).  It is a great dread for a smaller budget.  With a little research on the internet, you can verify this guitar's quality and sound.
