Lynn, I hope you're only kidding about the neck issue. But then again, a little head scratching just allows for more time for thought!. Just put the neck on like it's suppossed to go & stop scratching your head! Not you. Edwin! Maybe that's why I haven't gotten mine yet. He's still scratching his head!
Jennifer Warnes has a CD called "Famous Blue Raincoat", which are songs of Cohen. Has some sweet stuff on there (her voice & arrangments) besides the lyrics. Noticed that not all, but almost all, were Cohen songs. Deep. "A singer must die for the lie in his voice". Makes you think. :?

Jeff, I hope you know I was just kidding about Edwin and your guitar.    I should have put a happy face with my post.

I knew that. Just had to add my 2cents worth of trying to be humorous! :thumb

Lynn, also got your mailing. My wife is out buying a blackie for it! Thanks again! Let me know were your musical tastes lie. I might have something I can burn for you. And IMO, "Starless & Bibleblack" was the best Crimson LP. Yes, LP!. Ever hear of 'Animal Logic"? Stanley Clarke, Stewart Copeland, & some Canadian songwriter that sings & writes. She showed them her songs & the band was formed! They have 2 CD's, A.L. #1 & A.L.#2. Cool music with interesting lyrics. We all can get something out of them. Let me know. :wave

Mike, I somehow left out the IS in front of the HOG. Sorry about the confusion. And you apparently already welcomed me to the "all hog" club, if you catch my drift!

Mike, I think you must be a very bad boy in need of a spanking or two. :roll

I refuse to dignify that comment with a response.

Good boy, Mike. We don't want them after us! :cop:

Thanks holly, this picture is actually pretty close to the real colour in the evening sunlight.  It is very red.  I keep turning it over to admire it all the time.  I guess I was lucky, but many of them look very very pretty.

I'm just curious to hear how many people still haven't received their guitars yet?  It sounds like more than 75% of the 78 guitars have found their way home.  It also sounds like Jim is still pushing out a few at this point.

I am still waiting on an all hog.  Got an email today from Jim...I will call him tomorrow regarding the set up.
FIII M/IS
L-80 Presentation 12-String

Impressions:  Day 4 with the LS-03R -  The Itellitouch tuner was used to get it right.  Open chords sound fine.  Played with fingerpicks and thumbpick and got some nice sounds coming out with good intonation.  The LS is still tight but the more I played it the better it got.  Was it my ears getting used to it?  Perhaps.

I found myself doing some new stuff without thinking about it and I didn't want to put the guitar down.

So, this has been a good day with the FIII.
Play it daily for best results.

Mine might be in. I asked jim to push mine towards the end of his setups becuase I'm a little low on $. Will be waiting patiently & this point to hear from him. the longer, the better my siuation will be. Will have to take saving out, bottom line, which will send my wife higher than Sputnik was launched! She's not too happy with me right now with my GASing, but I don't get it. I sold my coin collection to pay for my SD-50 from Jim, so I am waiting to hear about varous things I have for sale. Four watches (good ones), a camera, home speakers. My camera, which I thought was sold & had committed to someone to buy (turning down someone else for personal reasons), fell through @ the last minute. A lesson learned. But I will get my guitar, so Jim, if you see this, don't worry. The money will be there when you call. Just call my cell phone! Might not be home!

Mine is supposed to be delivered today. Jim received  the last of the 78 plus extras yesterday so everybody should have theirs soon.

I haven't received my IS/Hog lefty yet. Direct shipped to Prince Eward Island.
                                                                                         Robert.

I took my forum III to work today as I have a colleague who is learning and wanted to see it.  First time I heard him play and he is pretty decent for a beginner.  Made me look like the beginner!  My forum III looks and sounds great - this was my first chance to listen to it rather than play it.  It stays in tune well now with new strings.  I guess with the new saddle installation, set up, and the long journey through various humidities and temperatures the old ones had probably been stretched to and fro before they had a chance to settle in, and suffered as a result.

Intonation is funny on the low E string.  It was way off when I restrung, but the more I play it, the less off it gets, and it is now only a fraction sharp as you go past about the 9th fret (it was a lot off initially, like 1/4 of a step off at the 12th fret).  Is it normal for intonation to be off with new strings and then settle down?  Sorry for the novice question.

Jim phoned me a couple of nights ago. There was a miscommunication regarding GST. Hopefully things are straightened out now. I'm still waiting for confirmation that's it's been shipped though.
