Quality Matt.  That was one of the first songs I ever learned to play too, so it was extra great for that reason.

PS  I trust there as no evidence behind the line abot John having just selected the wood.  I hope they are further on than that.  We assumed 3-4 months.  We are 23 days into that now.

Mine is all paid for (because the pound is getting worse by the day) so I can be as smug as I like.  I am, however, totally broke now!!!!

I'm going to pick up my LV 03 12 string today, swapping an OM 05 MT, pretty but gloss, you know. Now the L 05 MT I have, the gloss looks nice, go figure.  So that should keep me busy. Shoot just stringing and tuning it should keep me busy. i did all the baking for the week yesterday, so I'll just set the iRobot into action and see what i can do.

Oh, I did get an extra G string on advisement.

I am literally awe-struck.   I am struck with awe.   Awe is striking me at this very moment.   I don't usually get stricken with awe but awe has struck and struck hard.   I will probably have awe bruising for days.   Awe shucks.

Yeah, I was thinking something along those lines during the whole G String Tuning thread.  You know, how misdirected these poor fellows were because I can only imagine how annoying it would be to have one's G String tuned.

VS, geeze, I haven't set foot or whatever, in one of those in over fiteen years. Terrible quality although I'd imagine that's not the focus.

Not sure if the idea has been thrown around, but are we going to try to arrange a get together of forum III owners? Personally, I feel a real kinship with my fellow waiters. Since I'm posting this, I would suggest somewhere central. Just throwing this out there.

Matt- great lyrics & voice ! I saw Ricky's post about Jim's mods to his forum git. I perused his site, read his history, etc., but couldn't find anything about his forum guitar. Jim's putting a bone nut on my forum guitar. I think thats all the mods I'll need. Could someone tell where it's posted ? :smile: Jagadis- as far as the first discussion: go to the home page & click on "show own posts". If you posted on the first thread, you can just click on your most recent post on the first discussion. Remember, there are alot of pages to look @, so have fun ! LOL !

lyric girl (Lynda?)- that's a great idea. I live in East Haven, CT, so I'm way east. It would be cool to have a get-together to share our passions & new guitars.
Also, sorry lots of you have flus & injuries. I got my flu shot about 3 months ago & got a bad cold about 3 weeks after. That lasted about a month; like a flu, rest, lots of fluids, & constant handwashing ! Oh, I forgot. Lots of trips to the bathroom ! :wacko:

Yeah the waiting is tough but fun too. Like I mentioned on a different thread, the cost of admission to this semi custom build is incredibly reasonable and it's certainly fun to watch the anticipation building.  :thumbsup

It is 1/2 way between New England and Florida! ...but that's about it.  If there's ever a forumite gathering, some cool sites somewhat central would be Nashville, New Orleans, or Memphis...cultural areas rich in music.  They aren't really central either, but at least not the east or west coast.

If it's in the summer I'll throw the git in the convertable and take a road trip.

That's unless the gas goes back up to $4/Gal, then I'll just be stayin home.  I need an electric car, come on GM get off your a$$
